The Clock Is Ticking For Unclaimed Lotto Prize In The Havant Area

Time really is running out for a Lotto player from Havant who has won a £58,743 Lotto prize – the mystery ticket-holder now only has until 5.30pm on 19 June 2006 to make their claim before the prize claim deadline expires.

The Lotto ticket, which matched five numbers and the bonus ball, was bought in the Havant area for the draw on Wednesday 21 December 2005. The winning Lotto numbers for that draw were 5, 6, 12, 13, 31 and 45, and the bonus ball was 24.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest generated, will go to the Good Causes – adding to the £18.5 billion already raised through sales of lottery tickets over the last 11 years.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Time really is running out for the winner of this prize, but we are still hopeful that someone will come forward at the last minute to claim the money. The ticket was bought in December, so we would advise players to check the pockets of their winter clothing, as well as looking through old paperwork and receipts. This fantastic prize could make a real difference to somebody’s life.”

To jog Lotto players’ memories, on 21 December 2005, The Producers had just opened at the cinema, while the Pussycat Dolls were topping the charts with Stickwitu. Closer to home, Havant and Waterlooville FC fans were contemplating their recent 2-1 defeat in the Southern League against local rivals Basingstoke, while audiences were enjoying a performance of James and the Giant Peach at the Havant Arts Centre.
