08 Sep 2006

Chariot PLC said it is still confident in its concept of an alternative lottery despite facing a number of challeneges in executing its revised business plan for the game.

In an AGM statement chairman Peter Jones said the company still felt its lottery is a compelling proposition for the charities and the lottery playing public.

He said: 'The company has made significant steps recently with the launch, this week, of a new promotion to increase ticket sales and attract new customers to the monday lottery game.

'We hope to then build on this with further promotions and affiliate agreements in the coming months,' he added.

He also said that the company is continuing to make further investment in IT and marketing in order to consolidate its existing business, generate new customers and increase ticket sales.
